De camping is tussen de spoorweg en de A1 weg, dus het is luid, maar altijd welkom voor een slaap op de weg.

Everybody seems to be afraid of this place. Not sure why. The negatives: a bit of noise coming from the road but acceptable and no toilets. The positives: the place is large enough for 15 to 20 vehicles so you are almost certain to find a place (today, we are alone with the many birds) and there are two tables. It would only be muddy after big rains but under normal circumstances, absolutely no issue (gravel in the center and grass on the side).

Based on the reviews, I was expecting a real nightmare! In reality, there were tables for eating and a bit of greenery. It's true, there's no toilet... Beyond that, only one person was parked there, and it was safe. As for the road noise I read about, it wasn't bothersome!

Nice spot to break up our trip, road noise didn't bother us. It's a pitty the track to the river is covered in toilet paper and 💩!! No wonder we lose so many FC areas when they are treated like this 😡

Rustgebied in het gras. Er is ruimte voor 10-15 auto's en 2 picknick tafels. De plaats is rustig, hoewel het aan de zijkant van de weg. Geen toiletten. ik raad aan :)

Eenvoudige ruststop aan de kant van de weg. Schone badkamer. Blijf hier 1 nacht om de rit van Christchurch-Kaikoura uit te breken. Geen killer vogels waarnemingen!
