Geweldig voor de inter-eiland veerboten of toegang tot de Queen Charlotte Track. Faciliteiten schoon en functioneel maar verouderd. Kijk uit voor de geiten op de klif boven de spoorlijn.

Surprised by the negative comments. The welcome was friendly and the sites are a good size. Amenities are really good: nice hot showers, a large kitchen, and everything is clean. Very quiet at night. Honestly, a perfect place to stay in Picton.

The owner was very rude. When we wanted to check in, he told me that we still had to pay. As we already put our payment details in while booking I was skeptical and said that I wanted to check my banking app first if nothing had been charged (because all the other times I had booked a campsite it was that way). He then responded that we could drive to the next campsite if I didn’t trust him and just walked out of the room. Even though there was nothing charged I found his behavior very rude.

Excellent service. I made a last-minute booking because I was crossing by ferry at the last minute, and they reserved a very comfortable and warm cabin for me. When I called to explain that we would be arriving on the last-minute ferry, they said it was very understandable and not to worry, that they would leave the keys next to the main office. It's also worth mentioning that the showers had wonderfully hot water, the laundry service was spectacular with a washer and dryer, and the kitchen was fully equipped.

Infrastructure is bit old otherwise it was nice place to stay. Wifi was not free. Bathrooms, kitchen, fresh water to refill, waste dump, power site all facilities were good. Beautiful morning view, we enjoyed when train was crossing over.

As already mentioned, the infrastructure is a bit outdated, but everything was very clean. Showers were freshly painted and hot. The kitchen and appliances were clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for two nights for hiking. At €20 per night, it was perfectly fine. Many campsites in Germany cost more.

Mijn reservering werd bevestigd, een cabine met douche / toilet / tv / handdoeken / haardroger. Bij aankomst zeiden ze dat er een softwarefout was, alleen basiscabines waren beschikbaar en de softwareproblemen konden niet worden opgelost. Dit lijkt een bedrijfsmodel te zijn: een goedkoop aanbod, en bij aankomst wordt u een cabine aangeboden met niets. De cabine stinkt vreselijk van stabiele sigarettenrook, en de gemeenschappelijke badkamer stinkt ook van sigaretten. Beter niet! Geen goed verblijf!!! Jeep weg!!!!!!

Goede plek om een nacht door te brengen, maar niet meer, enigszins verouderde infrastructuur en geen gratis wifi!

Onze veerboot van het noorden van het eiland arriveerde om 11:45 uur en we belden in de middag als we dat laat konden inchecken, zeiden ze gewoon om op te roken en de volgende ochtend een plaats te plukken & betalen - wat perfect goed voor ons werkte en we waren dankbaar voor een gemakkelijke 5 minuten rijden van de veerboot. je kunt de trein in de vroege ochtend horen en de douches / keuken / badkamer zijn behoorlijk af, maar oké voor een een nacht / veerbootoplossing:)
