A truly beautiful location, right on the lake, with plenty of space and a fantastic view. Absolutely fantastic. The owner is very warm and welcoming. The glowworms nearby are fascinating. The toilets and showers are clean, so no problem. We had no major problems getting there with our campervan (3.60 m wide and 7.80 m long). It is quite narrow for about 800 meters, though, so it's a good idea to call ahead to avoid oncoming traffic.

Op weg naar de camping ontdekten we dat de weg gesloten was en niet opnieuw zou worden geopend voor nog eens drie uur. Na contact op te nemen met de camping om onze reservering te annuleren, hebben ze geen enkele hulp aangeboden. De receptionist had geen intentie om de reservering te annuleren en was volledig ongemakkelijk. We moesten ergens wachten tot de weg opnieuw werd geopend. Gelukkig vonden we een andere camping.

Fantastic location, however the toilet block and to a lesser extent the shower block was filthy. We stayed for three nights, on arrival the toilet and shower blocks were dirty. A used plaster was on the urinal, when we left it was still there, no effort to clean while during our stay. It calls itself an Eco Village, does that mean they don't use cleaning products or water?

Beautifully placed. Friendly staff. A couple of nice walks. And beautiful place to just sit and breath. And swim. And see glowworms. 2 things: 1. The gravel road down there is very narrow. 2. If you request an unpowered site for your campervan, remember to state in your booking that tou sleep in your vehicle and not in a tent.

Beautifully located and isolated campsite. Glowworms and phosphorescent algae in the water made the place feel magical. The road there is pretty rough, and I would not go here in a large motorhome. It was a bit hard to find a level spot for the van. Hot showers were $2 for 4 minutes and coins could be bought at the dairy onsite. Showers could use a cleaning but was functional and the water was hot. The lack of shiny new facilities was 100% made up for by the atmosphere at this campsite

Een prachtige camping met zeer vriendelijke eigenaren. U kunt kajakken en SUP's huren en, met een beetje geluk, stingrays zien. 's Nachts schijnt het water, en er zijn talloze vuurvliegen. Voor ons, een van de meest magische plaatsen in Nieuw-Zeeland.

The view is amazing , but we spent the night there with our camper van and the road is very challenging for a big van. The toilets and showers are disgusting and even the kitchen was during not clean in the evening. It is ok if you are staying one night but not recommendale for longer stays.

Lovely setting and welcoming owners. Showers/ toilets/ kitchen all clean. Kayaking around the bay in the day was great and the glow worms and Phosphorescence waters was a real highlight to our trip.

Echt vuile toiletten, douches en keuken. Mooie omgeving maar we hielden niet van ons verblijf hier.
