We kwamen om 8:30 uur en er waren nog genoeg plaatsen beschikbaar. De weg was verlicht, dus we konden zonder problemen de grindweg nemen. De toiletten zijn in het nabijgelegen tankstation.

Plenty of spaces, but was busy by the time we arrived. Sheltered from the main road, careful if you arrive in the dark as the ground is pretty uneven in places. Good cafe onsite which opens at 0800.

Great place to stop over. Plenty of parking on grass if carpark area is full. Nice quite spot behind the museum, which opens early with friendly staff serving up great coffee and food.

Toilet with code, impossible to use

Mooie grote ruimte en zeer koel. Je voelt je verstopt achter het militaire museum en zijn eigenlijk omringd door de natuur aan de andere kant. Mooie plek om te stoppen als het is heel rustig en veel tankstations. openbare toiletten is allemaal op slechts een paar minuten lopen. telefoonsignaal was beschikbaar op fatsoenlijke niveaus.

Gemakkelijk te parkeren overal op het gras in de vrijheid camping, zeer schone openbare toiletten naast het tankstation.

Een rustige en grote (ik denk voor ongeveer 20 motorhuizen) gratis camping met schone toiletten aan de andere kant van de weg door het tankstation.

Great spot with toilets not too far across the road. Didn't go to the museum but I would stop by and try it out on my way back through. Great location for exploring Tongariro Nat Park and Lord of the Rings locations

Not the most cosy location but good for one night. I was there with a few other campers. Quiet. Toilers are across the street next to Caltex. The one on the site ate locked (from the museum).

Good location with a great mountain view. There are toilets, but it's a bit noisy with the train and road nearby.
