The spot itself is good. Nice view over the lake and a working toilet (without paper, bring your own). Unfortunately we were harassed by the kids with the water filled balloons as well. Thx for the warning. Still, wasn’t very nice. We decided to stay, they came twice as well with an hour pause in between. Not a very relaxing stay for us though the rest of the night was quiet.

Het toilet is vastgelegd, en de plaats is mooi. Het water had een vreemde smaak (hetzelfde als bij het dumpstation) en het was erg windig. Maar rond negen in de avond, een groep van ongeveer zes kinderen verveelde zich en begon aan te vallen met waterballonnen en kloppen op de auto. Na hun tweede ronde van antiek, besloot ik te verhuizen naar de Opunake Recreation Ground autopark in het centrum van de stad, waar het rustig was.

The toilet is still under construction, so right now it's not a very comfortable place to spend the night.

The toilet was demolished on 23rd Feb 2026 and is currently being rebuilt.

A lovely, quiet spot right by the lake and not far from the beach. The toilet had no light, but it was clean and in good condition. The internet was also good. According to the sign, there are six pitches, not just three.

Chill place to stop next to a lake with duckies and so on. Houses about so you feel safe as. Walk down to the beach in 10 min. Rhe pub 5 min walk a great place to hang with locals. Super friendly. Get some!

Great place for NSC enjoyed my stay

Zeer goede plek voor vrijheid kamperen, schone toiletten en drinkwater.

Mooie plek voor NSC direct naast het meer. Flush toilet had een toiletrol, maar geen zeep of licht en er was ook een fontein.
