Zodra je begrijpt hoe te boeken, het is gemakkelijk. plaats is mooi, zijn allemaal alleen, toiletten ok!

Na een telefoongesprek van 30 minuten met een schattig persoon in de gemeente Auckland, parken en recreatie, hielp ze me bij het maken van de reservering en sprak ze met me via hun website. De toiletten waren schoon, de rangershonden waren erg enthousiast en de tuis waren in volle vlucht. Geparkeerd op een vlak gebied achter het hoofdgebouw, helaas geen uitzicht maar rustig.

Er zijn 2 SCC sites, 1 zomerseizoen & 1 winter, de laatste achter de HQ bldg, de eerste een gegraveerd gebied naar beneden op de appartementen in de buurt van Blackberry Flat Camp. Controleer de ARP-kaart (via link onder 'Contact') voor de locatie van het zomerseizoen. Geen teken! Boekingssysteem een PITA & elke ARP pax zal je iets anders vertellen. Gen up voordat je belt. Persevere. ? ~ Puriri Grove wandelen & Waharau Bush wandelen zeer de moeite waard. Het park is een krediet aan het personeel.

This is the parking lot behind the information center. Take the little road to the left hand side. There is no signage indicating you can camp there and no one on the phone at the reservation line has ANY clue where to find it. But this is it. Small quiet gravel parking lot next to cow pasture with water tap and clean bathrooms. As a note: Reservation system is absolutely miserable. Worst way to pay for a campsite of any I have experienced in NZ.

Nothing is indicated for the winter. Super clean toilet place and plenty of space then an open space available. Cool !

Excellent place to spend a couple of days - good walking tracks (short to long trips), quiet, lovely and a very pleasant place.

Beautiful area well maintained grounds. Not very clear on where you can park, astonished that it was deserted when the very average top 10 campground further down the road was full. The lack of people gave it an eerie feeling, couldn't help but think that it is a very under utilised resource maybe this is because the lack of clarity on the booking and payments (the same can be said for the other regional park campgrounds in the area).
