Veel ruimte en goed uitzicht

Plaats op de snelweg (hoort veel verkeer). Het regende toen we aankwamen en alle plaatsen eigenlijk in de modder. Toiletten zijn niet erg schoon.

Zo erg dankbaar dat we deze verbazingwekkende plekken in ons land hebben om te kunnen verblijven, vooral die met toiletten en douches. ik zie hier veel opmerkingen over het lawaai van de weg en persoonlijk het ding is dat je naar plaatsen moet reizen zodat lawaai niet eens een ding zou moeten zijn

The issue was not the free camp. But a creepy man was there with his car and he started following me. First, he came to park with the other campervans when he saw me at the free camp entry. And then, after nightfall he came to park right next to me. I didn't feel safe so I started my car to go to another free camp, and he followed me on the road. I went to the police the next day, to report the incident. Be careful, especially if you are a solo traveller woman.

We were there Feb 26th for one night. A lovely place by the river. Water skiers were using the river. As some have said it's rather close to the highway an the noise can be bothersome. There is a toilet and sink with running water. A nice green place for the night.

Een erg leuke plek! Rustige, hoewel de weg hierboven een beetje lawaai genereert, maar het uitzicht op de rivier is prachtig. De toiletten konden zeker een beetje schoonmaken, maar ze zijn er, met een douche en zeep – dat is vrij zeldzaam in een gratis camping! Het telefoonsignaal is zwak, maar nog steeds aanwezig.

Plenty of space, a bit loud because of the main road, the toilets worked, but were not the cleanest.

Very close to State Highway 1, so loud road noise. Also full of boating and jet-ski traffic (so fishing a no-no). Just a toilet block and feels like a lay-by. Should have gone to a more peaceful side of the lake.

Plenty of space, good alternative if horahora domain is full. Also a great place before a visit to Hobbiton movie set. Pretty flush toilets with a sink to wash your hands (no drinkingwater). Minor downside is that it is on the side of the road.

Perfect place to pull over for the night. Enjoy the sounds of birds and the beautiful views of the water, hills, and trees. Only negative is the road can be a little noisy, but not bad at night and also what makes it convenient! Rolled in around dinner time and plenty of space. On site toilet was very clean.
