Onze ervaring hier is aangenaam geweest! Het is schoon genoeg en de parkeerplaatsen geven veel ruimte, het enige nadeel dat ik heb is dat er slechts 1 douche in elke badkamer (1 in de mannen en 1 in de vrouwen) dit maakt het uiterst moeilijk om op te staan en klaar om te verlaten door de check onze tijd als iedereen is op hetzelfde moment voor het willen gebruiken.

Geweldige locatie direct naast het strand. Zo'n prachtige ervaring! Al het personeel is heerlijk en we ontmoetten een echt leuke werknemer die er 25 jaar was geweest! Geweldige chat! Aangedreven locaties en leuke en faciliteiten zijn schoon met geweldig warm water en douche druk! Ook hebben ze een echt schattige alpaca ! We brachten een hond en het was een perfecte ervaring! Een tui zelfs geland naast onze ontbijtplaats! Zou weer gaan.

We kwamen spontaan en werden verwelkomd met open armen, wat geweldig was. De locatie is ook fantastisch, omdat je de zee meteen kunt horen en vuurvliegen over de straat kunt zien. Helaas hadden we pech, omdat er tijdens ons verblijf alleen thunderstorms waren. Wat teleurstellend was: een van de twee drogers was gebroken (maar de dame bij de receptie gaf ons geld voor de andere), de keuken was zeer slecht uitgerust en de kleine verwarmer werkte nauwelijks.

Basic site, 1x shower per gender which made for queues, kitchen area well stocked with utensils. Glow worm dell across the road.

Excellent location. Close to the ocean. Convenient kitchen, showers and toilets. We liked it a lot!

Nice stay, close to town, can walk to the beach and the glow worms.

Overall a really nice stay! Non-powered spots were pretty small and you’re staying close to your neighbors. We were given the spot by reception. Only one shower for the whole place (which is not very big, but in high season must be a bit tough). Had nice hot water around 7pm. Nice kitchen with couches as well.

Character small camping ground. We had dinner on the beach next door watching the sunset and toddled across to the Glow Worm Dell across the way. If you like character, wekas running around and west coast beaches, this is a great place to stay.

Small compact site adjacent to beach. Couple of toilets and 2 showers (free). Generous camp kitchen. Wifi slow. Very small washing line and bring your own pegs!

They either gave us the wrong pitch or double booked it as someone was in it when we arrived. I emailed them as I couldn't call. Never got a response. I parked in an alternative space in the hope it wasn't also someone else's. The showers are good and hot and they have kitchen facilities. But the place is very tired and Hokitika town didn't have a lot to offer in my opinion. Fine for one night, if you arrive before reception closes.
