Flott campingplass midt i naturen. Det er bare 8 baner, bestill på forhånd via Queensland regjeringens nettside. Toaletter er utrolig rene og helt fine, det er ingen dusjer, det er bare en buskleir. På bare noen minutter kan du nå ulike korte turstier inn i regnskogen og til platypus visningsplattformene. Vi så også skilpadder, kookaburras og monitor lizards. Vi hadde bare cellemottak i Eungella selv, ikke her.

Nydelig sted, veien til å komme hit var litt grov i vårt motorhus, men vi gjorde det.

Vi var her i mai 2024. Eungella betyr land i skyene. Så det er vått og flere grader kaldere enn i Mackay. Dette er en bushcamp. Områdene er ganske nær side om side og det er bare to hybridløser. Men vi satt i vår campingplass og observerte en platypus i elven gjennom bilvinduene. Det kompenserer mye. Men vi forlot så tidlig som mulig for å finne et tørt og mer luksuriøst sted.

Fin campingplass, lett å oppdage platypusen og noen fine regnskog i nærheten for å se på fugler. vi så også noen rock wallabies hoppe rundt i nærheten av stien Siden dette er en park camp site du trenger å bestille dette på forhånd. Du kan gjøre dette ved hjelp av wifi på den lille kafeen ved siden av informasjonssenteret, men atm det er bare åpent fra 10am-3pm på fri-sol!

Wow! Toller Platz direkt am Fluss mit den Schnabeltieren. 3 Aussichtspunkte innerhalb 1km Entfernung zum Schnabeltier entdecken. Abfahrt könnte aufgrund der Steigung für sehr große Mobile schwierig sein.

It is a nice little camp with a lot to see around. We came in the afternoon and saw a few platypus from the viewing deck. It is a rainforest area so be aware that there are mosquitoes and leeches around. We did the walk in the morning and saw some platypus in the river again. For two people it was 14$.

Book in advance! No reception! Ranger come to check. Clean toilet :) In the middle of the nature, lots of animal noises, unfortunately lots of mosquitos and if you do the walk be careful about the leechs. They attacked my fiancé but we saw lots of birds and platypus :) Welcome to the rainforest.

We hadn't booked and the computer ?️ wasn't working due to the storm ⛈️ and the rain ☔️ ?️. Luckily a guard allowed us to stay anyway. Beautiful place by the river. We slept like kings. Not a sound except that of nature. Toilets ? clean. Watch out for black ? snakes Watch out ⚠️ leech ?. Tested for you it hurts and it bleeds. We saw plenty of platypus even from the deck. There are platforms set up to see them. You have to be patient. The best time: at sunrise ?. The light is fabulous. Pascal & Pascal ??

Lovely and peaceful spot. Toilets fine. Camp by the riverside for evening and morning wildlife: we saw platypus, turtles, an echidna and hunting kingfishers. Also heaps of fireflies just after sunset, and so many stars! Book in advance through government NP website.

Love this place, spotted cute platypus in the morning from our tent. We have our own hanging shower, we used boiled water to have hot shower. Be aware of the leeches when you walk into the rainforest across the river (they really love me, but not my hubby?).
