Nice little walk. The waterfall was was stunning and the water very refreshing.

Vi gjorde veien til fossen og det var herlig. Glad vi spurte rundt som nesten endte opp på den andre veien til utsikten som chu vi hørte er herlig. fossen er liten og vannet fryser, men det er forfriskende etter turen inn på en varm dag. Bare over en time tur inn og deretter en time tilbake.

Flott spasertur i en vakker skog med en vakker utsikt på toppen.Det er litt stiv noen ganger, men er fortsatt lett selv for uformelle turgåere

You can see Mt Ruapehu from the top of the hill on a clear day. That loop to the summit takes about 40 minutes, and to the waterfall and back it's another hour at least.

En sti til fjellet, den andre til fossen. For å gjøre begge, telle 3:30 gå totalt. Anbefalt gåsko. Begge er vakre og verdt det!

Totally beautiful, the walk is absolutely worth it! It took us about 80 minutes to get to the waterfall. The track goes up and down, so wear firm shoes! We were alone at the waterfall and even bathed in it (nice and cold).

Definitely worth a stop on your way to Tauranga! Type in "Mountain road" in your navi, you'll pass a yellow sign pointing towards otanewainuku. Keep driving until you see the car park for it. 90 min amazing trek deep into the rainforest. The waterfall is very rewarding! I feel revitalised (and hungry! Bring food and water!). Didn't spot any Kiwis :-P but there were so many other birds around! There are heaps more treks here: some 3,4 and even 8 hours! Could spend the day here but we didn't start the hike until 4pm!
