The lodge is open even though the main house is locked. The hosts come back during the day. At night you can see the stars and the view is very nice. Unfortunately, one drawback is that there is only one bathroom with a shower.

You can camp here with a campervan/car or tent. The lodge itself is closed though. Long gravel road to get here 10+km.

Tried to stay on 21.09. At this place for a night but unfortunately is closed. Only information about it right at the gate from the lodge and not at the beginning of the gravel road or anywhere else earlier. According to the friendly farmer next door this lodge is probably closed forever due to missing staff and not enough guests.

Fantastic place, caters for motor homes as well as bunk room, lodge accomodation. If you strike it right the kitchen lodge is open, we dined on Vegetable soup, home made bread, lamb shanks , roast veggies and chocolate mud cake for desert. Close to Mt Sunday, MtPotts and Erewhon station. Thanks Wendy and Pete

Loved it. We were the only people there due to COVID but the hosts went out of their way to welcome us. Lots of free local advice about walks and what a wonderful location!

If you are looking for solitude in a stunning setting this is for you. Less than an hour from MT Somers, with good gravel road the last 20km. Easy cycle to MT Sunday. Lots of hot water. Only self catering as cafe not open currently.

Quiet place with a beautiful view.

Very nice place, relaxing, with a superb quiet view In addition, the lodge is located 10 minutes by car from the Mount Sunday hike! And to top it all off, the chef (very friendly) offers gourmet cuisine for brunch or dinner! Our favorite place to spend the night with our campervan!
