Fint å komme til i 2WD hvis været har vært tørt, hadde vi ingen problemer i en Mitsubishi L300 og en Toyota hatchback dukket opp da vi var der. Bare sjekk været for å sørge for at det ikke er noen tung regnprognose for når du er der. Flushing toaletter åpne om sommeren. Mange sandfugler som var irriterende, men bærbar med beskyttelse og avstøtende. Veldig begrenset telefonsignal hvis heldig, eller ingenting i det hele tatt.

Vakker utsikt, mange sandfugler spesielt i den lange drop.Veldig grov vei med store forder å krysse.

Vi krysset noen forder, men 3 minutter før leiren var det en lengre dypere der vi ble redde, gikk vi tilbake til diamant innsjøen.

Ford var for dyp til å krysse.Lager gratis på Diamond Lake i stedet.

Nice view but too much sandflies and bumblebees…

Visited on 10th June 2020, and the road has been washed away just before the campsite. Can drive around but only in 4wd. Streams were passable after not much rain for a few days. I had to park up about 500m short of campsite and walk. Still made it that far in a 2wd camper, but bouncy in places.

A beautiful place at the end of the world. Several mice came into the van at night.

5 days later and i still can’t walk from all the sandfly bites i got on my feet. Also part of the walking track was closed due to flooding. Flush toilets closed due to draught, dump toilet full of sandflies just waiting to get at ya. Long drive, with loads of rivercrossing. All in all would not recommend. It is beautiful and secluded, though.

A super nice place. Unfortunately, he is currently not reachable by camper. We walked there for 1 hour.

We drove up from Diamond Lake just south of Paradise in our campervan to visit this spot in late June. Very pretty, peaceful drive. Not much rain or snow in the days before we got there so the fords were passable. They are repairing the road so it is a bit rough in spots for a van, but drivable if you go slow. Be warned, there were a decent amount of sandflies here in 4C and with frost on the ground. It will be much worse in summer!
