Nie można jeździć do tego kempingu, ale można wyciągnąć z drogi i zaparkować tuż przed i po wejściu do ścieżki do miejsca i chodzić 10 minut, lub na rowerze do tego przybrzeżnego namiotu. Miejsce ma schronienie kuchenne i długie toalety, a także przyciski ostrzegające, aby gotować wodę przed piciem. Miejsce znajduje się tuż obok kilku ładnych ścieżek spacerowych, łatwy do Kauri Falls lub bardziej wymagający spacer do starej stacji drzewnej i wielorybniczej lub ścieżek tramwajowych. Brak ruchu tutaj, tylko dźwięk ptaków i ryb skaczących.

This campsite is not boat access only. We got dropped off at the road and watched the 15 minute track to the camping area. It overlooks the Whangaparapara estuary. It is near the hot springs which we didn't check out as it was a much farther walk than we anticipated. There is a sign that says there is glass in one of the hot springs. Water must be boiled here. One long drop toilet. Thousands of mosquitoes. Be prepared for that. If you walk past the wharf, around the rocks, there is a cave and lots of beautiful crystals. It was the highlight for me. The highlight for my sister was the fishing. Stunning spot. But just be prepared, because it is a mission to walk to the closest town. Locals are awesome though, hitchhiking encouraged.
