There is moderate risk of severe thunderstorms with localised downpours (25 to 40 mm per hour) for Northland until this evening.
Rainfall of this intensity can cause surface and/or flash flooding, especially about low-lying areas such as streams, rivers or narrow valleys, and may also lead to slips.
Driving conditions will also be hazardous with surface flooding and poor visibility in heavy rain.
Note: A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favourable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. People in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and monitor for possible Severe Thunderstorm Warnings.

Went just for the quick lookout from the hill above carpark (Goldschmidt track) and got amazing 360 over sand spit and rest of the coast track. Very rewarding

Piękny spacer, zrobiliśmy to w chmurny dzień, mogę sobie wyobrazić, że jest to piękne w pełnym słońcu! Spacerował wzdłuż klifów i z powrotem wzdłuż plaży, aby uczynić to w pętli (nie jest to możliwe przy dużej wodzie!)

This is an amazing walk and one of our highlights of Northland! Amazing views of Poor Knights and beautiful beaches! We did the beach part first and returned along the cliffs as you can't return on the beach within 3 hrs each side of high tide, so check tides!
The Mangawhai Cliff Walkway jest bardzo piękny spacer. Ale trzeba być przygotowanym. Trzeba trochę 2,5 lub 3 godziny, aby zrobić spacer. Mają coś do picia i mały przekąskę z tobą. To jest również świetne, jeśli masz deszczową kurtkę z tobą, gdy pogoda się zmienia. Mieliśmy na końcu bardzo ładną pogodę. Radziłbym zrobić tę spacer dla wszystkich!
