Mała strona nad jeziorem. Myślę, że może 10 pojazdów może zaparkować bez przeciążenia. Pieski były problemem, ale po prostu przynieś swój spray. Tuż obok jeziora i 3 opcje na wędrówki. Dobry znak na miejscu. Drop toaleta jest tym, czego oczekujesz. Bardzo cicho w nocy. Jeśli zbyt zajęty lub zbyt wiele much, kemping 7km na drodze jest dobrą alternatywą. Dużo więcej przestrzeni tam. Brak sygnału, więc jeśli przychodzisz pobierz mapy z wyprzedzeniem.

Jezioro jest niesamowicie piękne, ale miejsce jest tylko zwykłym parkingiem bez żadnych widoków. Toaleta nie jest najlepsza, ale użyteczna. Zaplanowaliśmy pobyt tutaj na noc, ale ze względu na ogromną ilość pająków, które zdecydowaliśmy się przenieść... Wciąż bardzo polecamy wizytę w jeziorze, również wędrówka przez las do punktu widzenia jest niesamowita! Aby tam dotrzeć, musisz jeździć 20 km drogą grzbietową, ale jest w dobrym stanie i powinno być w porządku dla prawie każdego pojazdu. Nie ma sygnału.

Zamieszkałem tutaj na jedną noc i było miło! Istnieje toaleta, ławki piknikowe i woda, która musi być gotowana przed spożyciem. Jest obok gospodarstwa orłów i jest tylko 6 km od jeziora Hauroko! Jak głowa do góry, jest to długa droga grzbietowa, aby dostać się do tego miejsca. Pieski nie były zbyt złe. Wiele miejsc do parkowania.

Us and one other van stayed much closer to the lake last night, there are two grass, muddy pull-ins. Was lovely. Very peaceful but more sandflies as closer to the water. Also that area is under CCTV, but fine if you don't mind that. Rained over night and other van nearly got bogged, so be careful. Find us on Instagram if you like @twoguysvanlife and @saltyskin

Nice and clean simple grassy campsite. No frills but we liked it also because it’s close to lake Hauroko and has less sandflies ... Because the Lake has tons of them ... Btw if you don’t like mice don’t park too close to the woods. The tiny cute things checked us out quickly to see if there was something to eat. They didn’t stay around for long tho. Probably best to keep food well packed up.

Super hike! Plan hiking boots, it does not hurt! We did it in 2h30, the view at the top is great, worth seeing. You can even sleep on the spot before or after!

The track to the lookout (3hr return) is definitely recommended. It’s very steep towards the stop and mucky in parts. A little tough if you’re not too fit but worth it!

The 3hr track to the lookout is very steep and pretty hard to climb, but definitely worth it! Very nice 180 degree view. If you're in good shape you'll probably need less than 3hrs. The bush walk is... Well, a bush walk. Nice but nothing special. Still, if you have time you should definitely check out this lake!

Currently very wet and some complicated river passages, it climbs well and it's slippery. You will not see anyone!

The Bluff Lookout Track (3 hours return) is very nice :) We did it in 2 hours. Be prepared to climb slippery roots. Very remote and quiet. Great lookout over the lake and mountains from the bluff.
