You have to buy a entry permission for forestry roads for 10$/van... The falls are beautiful, but if you don't want to camp there, too (13$/adult) not really worth it.

Very impressive waterfall at this time of year. And the walk from the Outlet DOC Camp is really beautiful following the clear, blue waters. Absolutely worth the three hour return hike.

Worth the 5 dollars if you do the walk from the outlet.

"via private forestry roads which require permits" no money no fun? Truly pity.

We did the track in August and it was one of our highlights so far !! A more than 60m higher waterfall, 3 Wollabies, a blue / greenish river, small lagoon to swim (with ropes to jump in) and 2 smaller waterfalls :) We took the big 12km track and it was really great !!!

If you are in the area definitely recommended. The road is absolutely okay, about 15 minutes drive. Choose a quiet place in the river on the way to the waterfall or back and swim there but watch out for the current, in the heat of a dream.
