O acampamento está entre o trem e a estrada A1, por isso é barulhento, mas sempre bem-vindo para um sono na estrada.

Good spot to break up the drive to Chch for the night. No toilet. Road noise was negligble.

Everybody seems to be afraid of this place. Not sure why. The negatives: a bit of noise coming from the road but acceptable and no toilets. The positives: the place is large enough for 15 to 20 vehicles so you are almost certain to find a place (today, we are alone with the many birds) and there are two tables. It would only be muddy after big rains but under normal circumstances, absolutely no issue (gravel in the center and grass on the side).

Based on the reviews, I was expecting a real nightmare! In reality, there were tables for eating and a bit of greenery. It's true, there's no toilet... Beyond that, only one person was parked there, and it was safe. As for the road noise I read about, it wasn't bothersome!

Nice spot to break up our trip, road noise didn't bother us. It's a pitty the track to the river is covered in toilet paper and 💩!! No wonder we lose so many FC areas when they are treated like this 😡

Chegou a desafiar o pássaro serial killer, ele simplesmente nos assombrou com um grito sem progresso hoje. experiência geral 7/10 TIL próxima vez pássaro killer

Área de repouso na grama. Há espaço para 10-15 carros e 2 mesas de piquenique. O lugar é tranquilo, embora esteja do lado da estrada. Sem banheiros. Recomendo :)

Simples parada de descanso ao lado da estrada. Banheiro limpo. Fique aqui 1 noite para quebrar a condução de Christchurch-Kaikoura. Sem avistamentos de pássaros assassinos!
