A little gem here, pretty quiet and really beautiful. The view doesn’t quite compete with some other more famous spots but this has its own potent charm. We were lucky to stay on a clear day and the reflection of the mountains was immaculate. Has a very peaceful and quaint feeling here and given its free this is a no-brainer spot. Toilets are pretty well maintained with soap and toilet roll available. Also not far at all from Fairlie Bakery !!

Beautiful Free camp on the shore of Lake Opuha with views of the mountains. Many spaces that can accommodate a large number of vehicles. Landing slightly curved. Very quiet at night and there are toilets on site, open permanently. ⚠️ The toilets are closed during the winter. On the date we were there so it was ok but pay attention to this detail if you want to use them.

Este tem que ser um dos nossos acampamentos favoritos até agora. Foi absolutamente bonito, com vista para o lago e as montanhas, apenas deslumbrante. Não tinha problemas para encontrar um espaço, mas esteja ciente de que não há muitos espaços completamente planos, então estava em uma borda pequena. Pode acampar aqui por 3 noites e há bancos para ter comida. Não poderia recomendar o suficiente!

Lugar de acampamento bonito. Fique ciente da terra úmida antes de dirigir para um campo suavemente inclinado por grama. Excelente vista. Banheiro não disponível na estação de inverno.

Grande local de acampamento gratuito com vistas incríveis do lago e das montanhas 'apenas fora da estrada principal para super fácil de chegar. Difícil de encontrar terra completamente plana, mas não terrível!

Tranquilo e silencioso completamente longe das estradas. Curta distância para Fairlie também. Banheiros não abrem durante o inverno e não há muita superfície plana para estacionar. Tenha cuidado se houver neve ou chuva, pois pode ficar mudo.

Incrível! O lugar é tranquilo e as vistas sobre as montanhas são claras! Tranquilo com grandes espaços para estacionar na grama.

Great spot to spend the night. There were just a few vans/campervans besides me. Super chill. Just park on the grasa, so you must be careful. If rains you can ger stack. No toilets during winter season. 4G signal poor but enough :)

Plenty of space, beautiful surroundings, clean flush toilets. Can be lot of noise from speedboats

Excellent free site, great views, lots of space, toilets unavailable over winter however, ablutions gated and locked.
