O acampamento em si é maravilhoso, mas infelizmente tivemos uma experiência muito assustadora durante a nossa estadia. Por volta das 10:30, rochas foram jogadas na nossa van, acordando-nos. Cerca de 10 minutos depois, um carro assustador chegou e cercou a nossa van antes de estacionar nas proximidades e desligando as luzes. Os ocupantes saíram com uma tocha e começaram a caminhar em direção à nossa van. Fomos extremamente assustados, então chamei a polícia. No final, nos sentimos tão desconfortáveis e inseguros que decidimos sair.

Maravilhoso acampamento. Grátis. Cargas de espaço. O banheiro foi bastante limpo. A manhã ao lado do lago é bonita. A única coisa que vou dizer é talvez não estacione muito perto da primeira área com o banco de piquenique perto da água, fomos acordados por um grupo de turistas (parece um passeio de fotografia) tirando fotos logo fora do nosso bote 😂 para o nascer do sol. Talvez vá mais longe a água

Long gravel path and steep decent to campsite. Smelly long drops, beautiful surroundings

DOC spacious with many locations on the edge of a lake. To access it by gravel road on 2/3 km but it is done without problems. Only weak point, there are 2 toilets which is widely enough but it could really a lot, he should come clean them (it becomes urgent 😅)

Best site we have done. no shower but large enough, quiet and beautiful.

Around 10:40 pm last night someone vandalized multiple tents including ours.

Didn’t feel safe. At midnight someone is coming and stealing your belongings. Be very careful and aware, catch those bustards

Spacious, peaceful campsite with plenty of room for turning large vehicles. Nestled beside a pretty lake with a canal right behind it. Stunning views across to Aoraki/Mt Cook. Stay on the gravel canal road until you've passed most of the campsite before turning into it. Lake Wardell on the other side of SH8 looked lovely too but is closer to the road.

If you can get over the very smelly long drop, this is a fab campsite. One of the best we've stayed at. Amazing views, sunset & sunrise. We had good phone signal, very important so my other half could listen to the Grand Prix! Plenty of room for all 😊Don't take the first (unsign posted) turning, that road is rutted, continue down the gravel road for 2 km until you come to the sign posted entry.

Tranquilo da estrada. Um pouco desafiador para chegar com a estrada de barro rasgado. ruído de avião começa às 9h.
