A truly beautiful location, right on the lake, with plenty of space and a fantastic view. Absolutely fantastic. The owner is very warm and welcoming. The glowworms nearby are fascinating. The toilets and showers are clean, so no problem. We had no major problems getting there with our campervan (3.60 m wide and 7.80 m long). It is quite narrow for about 800 meters, though, so it's a good idea to call ahead to avoid oncoming traffic.

Em nosso caminho para o acampamento, descobrimos que a estrada estava fechada e não reabria por mais três horas. Depois de entrar em contato com o acampamento para cancelar nossa reserva, eles não ofereceram nenhuma assistência. A recepcionista não tinha intenção de cancelar a reserva e estava completamente desagradável. Tivemos que esperar em algum lugar até que a estrada se reabrisse. Felizmente, encontramos outro acampamento.

Localização fantástica, no entanto, o bloco de banheiro e em menor medida o bloco de chuveiro era sujo. Ficamos por três noites, na chegada o banheiro e blocos de chuveiro eram sujos. Um gesso usado estava na urina, quando deixamos ainda estava lá, sem esforço para limpar enquanto durante a nossa estadia. É chamado de uma Eco Village, isso significa que eles não usam produtos de limpeza ou água?

Beautifully placed. Friendly staff. A couple of nice walks. And beautiful place to just sit and breath. And swim. And see glowworms. 2 things: 1. The gravel road down there is very narrow. 2. If you request an unpowered site for your campervan, remember to state in your booking that tou sleep in your vehicle and not in a tent.

Beautifully located and isolated campsite. Glowworms and phosphorescent algae in the water made the place feel magical. The road there is pretty rough, and I would not go here in a large motorhome. It was a bit hard to find a level spot for the van. Hot showers were $2 for 4 minutes and coins could be bought at the dairy onsite. Showers could use a cleaning but was functional and the water was hot. The lack of shiny new facilities was 100% made up for by the atmosphere at this campsite

Um belo acampamento com proprietários muito amigáveis. Você pode alugar caiaques e SUPs e, com um pouco de sorte, ver lagartos. À noite, a água brilha, e há incontáveis fogos de artifício. Para nós, um dos lugares mais mágicos da Nova Zelândia.

The view is amazing , but we spent the night there with our camper van and the road is very challenging for a big van. The toilets and showers are disgusting and even the kitchen was during not clean in the evening. It is ok if you are staying one night but not recommendale for longer stays.

Lovely setting and welcoming owners. Showers/ toilets/ kitchen all clean. Kayaking around the bay in the day was great and the glow worms and Phosphorescence waters was a real highlight to our trip.
