The spot itself is good. Nice view over the lake and a working toilet (without paper, bring your own). Unfortunately we were harassed by the kids with the water filled balloons as well. Thx for the warning. Still, wasn’t very nice. We decided to stay, they came twice as well with an hour pause in between. Not a very relaxing stay for us though the rest of the night was quiet.

O banheiro está fixado, e o local é bom. A água tinha um sabor estranho (o mesmo que na estação de descarte) e era muito vento. No entanto, por volta das nove da noite, um grupo de cerca de seis crianças ficaram entediados e começaram a atacar com balões de água e bater no carro. Depois de sua segunda rodada de antiguidades, decidi mudar-me para o estacionamento do Recreation Ground Opunake no centro da cidade, onde era silencioso.

The toilet is still under construction, so right now it's not a very comfortable place to spend the night.

The toilet was demolished on 23rd Feb 2026 and is currently being rebuilt.

A lovely, quiet spot right by the lake and not far from the beach. The toilet had no light, but it was clean and in good condition. The internet was also good. According to the sign, there are six pitches, not just three.

Chill place to stop next to a lake with duckies and so on. Houses about so you feel safe as. Walk down to the beach in 10 min. Rhe pub 5 min walk a great place to hang with locals. Super friendly. Get some!

Great place for NSC enjoyed my stay

Ótimo lugar para acampar, banheiros limpos e água potável.

Bom lugar para o NSC ao lado do lago. banheiro de flush tinha toalete, mas sem sabão ou luz e havia uma fonte de água também. Não muito longe para caminhar para a cidade ou para a praia
