Lá para NY e enquanto super ocupado era ótimo. Ainda muito espaço na frente, aqueles com navio de água eram realmente respeitosos e sem bugs é um bônus. Em algum lugar como esta temporada fora seria uma obrigação para NZ touring.

This was our second time here and a very different experience. First time was out of main season and not busy - was really lovely then. We were there 28 December and it was so busy which meant the toilets couldn't cope. Lots of big groups including one who brought a huge stack of pallets for firewood and we're playing loud music until the early hours. The point of telling you all this - come out of main holiday season when it's a really lovely and chilled experience. Oh and the main road in was fine for us and, we have a small hitop camper. Might not be easy when it's been raining though.

Nice and quiet. Only two cars when we went there. It was rainy on our stay there but will be coming back when weather and schedule permits. However some of the grass areas were not maintained well (too long) and some toilet stalls aren't working.

The campsite is absolutely beautiful and I had no trouble going to the campsite. The road is well built as well. Last night was the second time I went there. However because it’s a big campsite both the times I found people drinking and partying until late night. There was loud music until 3 a. M and people yelling songs and swear words. It’s not ideal if you are going for some peace and quite time.

They must have fixed the roads since all the other comments. It was a little steep, but I would not have hesitated taking a 2 wheel drive, and it was even raining when we got here. Roads seemed fine to me. Beautiful views. Nice and quiet. No artificial lights at night. Plus you can see pheasant and quail in the camp with tons of fantails. Shags were fishing in the lake and there were flocks of little green parrots on the way in. Great spot.

The campsite is ok, seen much better. We stayed 2 nights on the 30th and 31st December 2020, the amount of noise produced by stayers was just awful, young people playing loud music up until 4am. Burning fires, shouting and screaming. No ranger on site so you will have to deal with it yourself. At 4 am we asked to keep the noise down and almost got into a fight as those rednecks couldn't' careless. Some locals just come there anytime and do whatever they like, and those are far from being noble sirs and madams. This is defiantly no the place if you have small kids, not family oriented. The water in the lake was pretty dirty and green too. Only 4 flush toilets for the whole campground means constant ques at any time of the day. Lots of boats and noise. There is no shade so you will burn unless you take cover with you. If you have allergy beware, there is something in the air, 2 of our mates had a reaction. Water supply was pretty weak too and the water was smelly as well.

Just spent 5 days here over New Years awesome spot to stay! It did get a bit rowdy New Years night with people fighting and stuff. Toilets were very clean. Yeah the road down is gravel and the last hill pretty steep. Glad I took the tent not my caravan lol. Definitely recommend this hidden gem.

What a hidden treasure. We drove in a 9mt bus, no problems. Take your time down Lake Rd and remember it is not a main highway. Great toilets. Well worth the trip.

We think the drive into the camp is extremely dangerous and wouldn't recommend it for vehicles other than 4wd . Disappointing and wont be back to this camp.

An isolated spot with beautiful river views. Boat launch and picnic areas all around. Warning: This area had a proposal hanging over it got an aerial 1080 poison drop. What a tragedy.
