We had a great time. We try to spot bird during our walks but you'll only get to see some of them in a reserve like this. I recommend the talks, they're very informative and the keepers will answer all your questions. Kiwis are very cute!

The kiwis were very nice to look at. The park itself is a small animal park with various birds, lizards, ducks, owls and so on. Was necessary, because you can hardly meet the kiwis otherwise.

Price is to much for this kiwi house... It’s Dirty and the cages are to small... Not worth for this price... The only thing I like is, that I saw a kiwi
“Thank you for your feedback and for visiting our park. We're sorry to hear your visit didn't quite meet your expectations. We're glad however that you enjoyed seeing a kiwi. We're a not for profit registered charity so our only income is from visitor admissions. We are currently working on a redevelopment of the entire park. Our enclosures are fit for purpose to hold a number of our rescued birds that are being rehabilitated as well as our collection animals.”

You may can debate about the price but you are supporting conservation and research programs and a lot of kiwi centres are priced the same, it's definitely worth it. I did in in the end of my NZ trip and I didn't see a kiwi before so I chose to visit on a rainy day. It's a lovely centre with extremely friendly and informative staff who love their work. I would recommend to time your visit so you can go to most of the keeper talks as they are the most interesting. The Kiwi 'Night zone' gives you a 90% chance of seeing a kiwi. It was interesting to see and learn about the other birds you may or may not have seen in the wild before. If you haven't seen a kiwi to this point, support this little centre!

Great place! At first we couldn't see the kiwis. They were hiding behind bushes, but just be patient. After that one of them came close to us, and started making a show :) other birds are also really nice. You can feed parrots from your hand, when you are in the aviatory around 12 :) it's such a great experience :)

Such a cool little place. We stopped on our way to Spellbound for glow worms and I wish we had more time. It was so fun. You get to see kiwis in a simulated nighttime setting. Once your eyes adjust they’re much easier to see, and so funny. The second enclosure was my favorite. Definitely stop in. Worth the money for such a cool cause.

Absolutely worth seeing. Best to come to the Kiwi Keepers Talk. Times on the website. We saw a kiwi running around. Really great and the talk was informative.
