Great place for a stop over. Well off the main road (unlike how it is shown on the map) - quiet, no highway noise. There was only one other overnight camper. Plenty of shade. Unfortunately, no open flames allowed, so no campfire. Nice 15-min walking loop with native NZ trees labeled, so you can learn your Rimu from your Rata :) . Nearby stream also offers a nice setting. Flushable bathrooms are basic, but better than many others at free camp sites. Can’t beat it for $2.

You’ll be rolling on the tyre tracks of many campers before you. Since 1929 this place has been an oasis for those pilgrims exploring Aotearoa’s undulating hills. The flat grass and simple loo make for a perfect rest spot. The heritage of the untouched native bush around the site is evidenced by the bird song that greets you just as the sun begins to crest, and the mysterious rustles during the night. Sleep well and enjoy.

Am făcut o oprire peste noapte pe drumul spre sud. toalete curate și valoare mare.

Such a nice peaceful spot! Flush toilets too. Spots can get shady in the trees but plenty of sun too.

Incredibil loc liniștit doar pentru o donație de 2 dolari, toaletă curată, dar fără apă potabilă.

Loc de camping minunat pentru doar 2 $! Toalete spumante, apă neportabilă, terenuri bine întreținute și mese de picnic. Doar aproximativ 4 alte vanuri când am rămas, o grămadă de spațiu aici. Aș recomanda foarte mult! Mod mai bun decât orice site-uri doc am rămas la și atât de mult mai ieftin!

Abia a ajuns în întuneric. ușor de găsit. alte două tabere aici. confortabil. toaletă de bază curată. perfectă pentru o ședere peste noapte.

I love Anzac park.. Has a nice steam that's great for cooling off in and the nature walks are beautiful. It quiet and relaxing. My fav spot to hide away.
