We choose this site for its hot pools and we were not disappointed ! Like it has been said, showers and sanitories are a bit outdated but totally functionnal, and planned to be renoved soon. There is a laundry and the kitchen, very practical ! Staff was really friendly and helpfull, we needed an adaptator for pur water hoose and they lended us one. The only small downside was the dumping station for grey water, a bit to high to drain correctly our van. Maybe put a ramp to level up the vehicule ?

A quintessentially kiwi campground, if you're looking for something off the beaten track a little. The pools are lovely, staff friendly. Bathroom facilities were functional - probably need pulling down and rebuilding though. Hopefully part of the future implied plans!

We stayed here for one night as its about 20 mins from Hobbiton. Nice owners/staff, lovely hot water Recycling/laundry/kitchen facilities as well as dump station Loos/showers are older but well kept and very clean so not an issue

Worth staying here for the pools - especially the private Ramaroa one which has a kind of shabby atmospheric chic! Very friendly staff. The toilet block is a bit dated but was very clean. We didn't use the showers or the kitchen but noticed they had a little herb garden. Small playground and small shop.

Stayed 2 nights, best WiFi ever as no mobile coverage!! Pool was terrific. Quiet campsite. Coffee @reception from 0900. However Amenity blocks are OLD and jaded and in need of refurbishment. Worst we experienced. Close to Hobbiton. 7 mins drive into town with lots of eating options. Beside Matamata golf course.

Perfect spot with lovely views! We tend to stay at DOC campsites as prefer full nature, but this campsite was perfect to stop off to do our washing, get WiFi and have a reset. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, Debbie was a delight! Hot Spring are also worth a trip at $30 for two adults, relaxing and rejuvenating!

Great spot

A good little holiday park. Facilities were clean and the site was quiet. Pitches weren’t huge but were of a decent size. We had requested a late check in, however not sure if this was recorded incorrectly so we nearly didn’t get let in
