Fine road

The road there was pretty good, gravel road but not bad to drive on. The track itself was beautiful and well worth it. Amazing forest and tunnels to discover.

Great little track, but be aware of the road for the last 2km. We chose not to take our 8m motor home and instead parked on the side of the road before the 2km DOC sign. Glad we did, parts of the road are like a riverbed. Very rocky with some large rivets, and overgrown bushes on the sides and above.

It's a beautiful, very well maintained track. If you love a nice walk in the forest and exploring caves it's defenitley worth stopping by. I would not recommend inexperienced drivers to go there because the gravel road is quite hard to drive on. Don't follow the road to Moana after you leave the car park or you will get stuck.

The trail was cute, but the road there with our Canper the Hökke on earth! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, I died a thousand deaths.

Very difficult to drive road !! Better not drive without 4 WD & only if it is dry. When leaving against the west coast, a river has to be crossed by car !! We made it.

The actual walking track is good but DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONTINUE ALONG THE ROAD TOWARDS MOANA AFTER THE CAR PARK FOR THE WALK THERE IS NO EXIT!!! On the map it appears that there is a road that you can access moana and there are no signs saying no exit. As stated this road is the worst gravel road I have ever driven. I kept pushing on as it was almost impossible to turn and I was drawing close to moana as I could see on GPS and offline maps however every road out you try to take out from here is locked by gates. I blew out a tyre and caused considerable damage to the underside of my car. There is no phone signal. Could be extremely dangerous if you were less fortunate than me having a spare tire.. It took me over 3 hours to get back to the car park. If you have any doubts about this place DO. NOT. ATTEMPT it is simply not worth it.

I decided not to do the walk after reading the previous comments but a local lady told me I should definitely go there and that the road is fine. So I did and it actually was! Just follow the road (google maps doesn't know the last bit of the road so just be smart and follow the road). Yes the last bit of the road, maybe 2 km, is a bit more adventurous with bigger stones than usual but not impossible to drive! I have a small car and it worked totally fine :) The walk is really interesting and fun! I'm glad that I gave it a try!

The walk was amazing, but you need to drive over really big stones, more like rocks. We then wanted to drive to Moana, and the Navi said we could go in the other direction by the path. Dont do that the path was more like a riverbed and you could not drive through we even got stucked next to the road and we werent able to get out without the help of a truck. So we need to pay a big amount that we stucked in there. So if you do the track go the same way back. The other way was just impossible to go through even for 4x4 cars. Disapointed becasue they didnt even do a cauction sign, even though they know a lot of people get stuck in this way. ????
