Spectacular view! I was lucky enough to see Mahia in the distance! You can reach the top by car.

**Warning for travellers** If you are approached by a man in his mid 60's, grey hair, glasses - Do not get involved with him. At first he may seem pleasant, but we've just learnt the hard way that this is not the case. If he offers any help, politely refuse. We've discovered from the police that there have been many complaints reported by fellow travellers and tourists with similar issues, including online harassment. He's there every day before 5pm. So there is a good chance that you will be approached. Stay safe.

I parked at the bottoms of the road and did a nice run through the trails!

A nice set of walks but I would recommend to park there as the walk from the town center is really uninteresting. Views from the top are really nice with a statue with an interesting story and the most easterly observatory in the world.

We spent an enjoyable hour and a half wandering around the many well formed tracks on Kaiti Hill. There is a place to pullover and park at the start of the track just before Cooks Landing Memorial (coming from the city) on Kaiti Beach Road.

Beautiful lookout, world westest located observatory, "James Cook's" statue - very funny :)

Really nice lookout! Awesome view over Gisborne and the sea! Can go up by car as well just watch out for the pedestrians
