Really cute little spot, felt very safe. Caretaker comes in the evenings & mornings, they were super friendly! $35 per site for unpowered or $40 per site for powered (two of us). Kitchen was fully stocked and had a water boiler too, which was perfect for my hot water bottle. Toilets and showers are definitely dated, but very clean and water was hot (and included in the price) Laundry was $3 per load, no dryer. You choose your spot on the map and make sure no ones name is written down for there.

Stunning views of the sea and beach. One of our favourite campsites we’ve stayed in due to this. We had a lovely walk along the beach in the evening and watched the sunrise the next day. Friendly lady taking bookings, felt very relaxed. Bathroom facilities quite basic but clean.

Great site, right by the sea, nice facilities (including hot shower and kitchen), and a great cockerel to keep you company.

Beautiful campground right at the beach- surf spot when swell is good. Full equipped kitchen and very nice caretaker. One of the best spots during our travel!

Nice campsite right on the beach, we didn’t have the best weather but feel it would be lovely with a nice sunset!

A taste of New Zealand . Great spot .Chilled and relaxed. Early wake up call curtesy of the cockerel. Beautiful sunrise on the beach. Has a surf spot vibe. Basic amenities but clean . ( it really depends on what your aiming for and expect) .Overall a great way to spend our last night in NZ before heading home.

Cracking liten plats, grundläggande men allt du behöver, ren dusch / toalett block, rent köksområde och det bästa lite dess rätt på stranden.Någon sa ingen WiFi / 4g men vi hade utmärkt 4G täckning, gjorde en utmärkt natt stopp av vår fantastiska 3 veckor i NZ.

En sådan trevlig campingplats! Ganska liten, så antingen boka i förväg eller komma tidigt. $ 35 för 1-2 personer i en campervan utan el: billigt för en tillgång till alla faciliteter, allt rent. Direkt tillgång till en stor och härlig strand med bra utsikt över havet. Ingen wifi. Tel-signal. Inga sandflyg!

I imagine this camp would be beautiful on a sunny day, Gore bay is a tiny little beach village with beautiful sea views ( more direct views in Main camp than Buxton). Quiet camp with good facilities. Lovely warm shower (plenty of time despite the timer). $40 for a powered site for 2 people, worth it and would visit again if travelling North from Christchurch to break up our drive.

Great little campsite right on the beach, very peaceful. $35 for a site without hookups for two people. Equipped kitchen, hot shower. We arrived without a reservation and had no problem getting a spot.
