Cute and quiet campsite and cabins away from the noise and lights of town. Facilities were exceptionally clean and tidy, despite not being very modern. Only a small number of sites with limited lighting. So nice and quiet. If you want a packed in, busy and lit up campsite don't come here. We had the campsite to ourselves in early May. Looked like lots of work has been recently done on the facilities, newly painted, very new fridge in kitchen, so older reviews may not be accurate.

Ganska fin campingplats för en billig övernattning i Hanmer. Damen vid receptionen var härlig och introducerade oss till sin mycket söta hund ☺️ campingplatsen själv var extremt mörk och lite skrämmande, kunde inte navigera den utan en lampa och fortsatte att bli lite förlorad / fräckt ut. Toaletter bra, ingen betalning för dusch som andra campare har sagt, billig tvätt men kräver $ 2 mynt.

Great! Awesome stop over for non-self contained/camping $20 for the night which includes kitchen facilities (minus pots pans etc) as get stolen but has microwave fridge freezer etc for use, boiling water, free hot showers, toilets and even laundry wash and dry for only $4!

Efter 40 dagar i camper van , detta ställe debiterade oss dubbelt så mycket som någon annan semesterpark på södra ön, en vuxen och 4 barn , damen insisterade jag var tvungen att betala för två vuxna på $ 25 var och $ 20 var för de andra tre barnen, .... hon sa att hon skulle ge mig en bra plats för barn, det var på vägen till ingången till lägret där det mesta av trafiken var .....kök hade och gammal ugn , en mikrovågsugn och riktigt liten kylskåp och frys (för att rymma minst 80 platser)..... hade inget dricksvatten och inga anläggningar för att koka vatten som Billie var avstängd och ingen kokkärl tillgänglig .... erbjöd oss 2 flaskor vatten för en familj på 5.....laddningar av otäcka tecken som de skulle konfiskera din telefon om

What a lovely place. Quiet, slightly older accommodation but neat. Very friendly welcome! 10 minutes walk to the entrance of the forest. Half an hour on foot to the center with the spa.

New owners here and they’re really friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful spot and facilities are basic but clean, campers not jammed in. Would definitely stay here again.

You get what you pay for, which is not much, in both respects. Stayed new years eve and the toilet/kitchen facilities were inadequate for the number of campers. Would come back, but only in off-season when quieter

Super friendly and very lovely owners. Amenities were slightly dated but spotlessly clean and functional. Very much enjoyed our stay

If I wanted a cold shower, to cook at my van (because the kitchen is too small and overcrowded), to use my chilly bin (bc the one fridge is full), and no electricity to charge anything, I would have stayed at one of the free campsites. Unpowered section desperately needs its own kitchen and bathroom. Everyone in the kitchen was complaining.
