Great campsite , toilet on site ,large grass area lots of space too park we arrived 8pm too lots of people , vans etc and still got a decent spot road in easy historic building too see stream and walks to do also dogs welcome we had 3 and many people had dogs no phone signal

We we're not able to get to the campsite due to that there was a stream crossing the road. The road to get there in general was narrow. A little sad

Great, secluded campsite if you want a bit of woodland peace. Walks nearby. HOWEVER! We stayed on a very windy night and a tree fell blocking the road access out. Luckily 2 kiwis who were also staying made quick work with a chainsaw and axe they had. Be careful and only stay when the weather is suitable.

Great campsite. Dogs allowed. Steep ford going in, I was in a Mazda 6 with a 1977 14th zephyr caravan we were scraping on towbar but no damage. Great for kids. No reception in campsite. Multiple fire pits around for evening fires

Lovely big, open campsite surrounded by trees. Currently no water (too cold/dry?). Long drops are clean but smelly. Nice walks from the spot. Would stay again!

Great place to stay.

One of the few dog permitted DOC walks in the area starts at this campsite. DOC sign advises 3hrs but reasonably fit walkers (used to walking 1-2hrs on undulating tracks) will complete the loop well within 2hrs including drink stops. Plenty of brook crossings for dogs to hydrate. Cell coverage at highest point on loop marked by a simple timber resting bench looking out onto the valley. 99% shaded.

Good gravel access road. 2 small fords (one concrete) may cause problem for low clearance RVs. No problem with overhanging trees for taller vehicles. No cellular signal at camp but 4-5 minutes walk up the Homebush Track there is weak Spark coverage.
