Utmärkt för inter Island färjor eller tillgång till Queen Charlotte Track. Anläggningar rena och funktionella men föråldrade. Se upp för getterna på klippan ovanför järnvägslinjen.

Surprised by the negative comments. The welcome was friendly and the sites are a good size. Amenities are really good: nice hot showers, a large kitchen, and everything is clean. Very quiet at night. Honestly, a perfect place to stay in Picton.

The owner was very rude. When we wanted to check in, he told me that we still had to pay. As we already put our payment details in while booking I was skeptical and said that I wanted to check my banking app first if nothing had been charged (because all the other times I had booked a campsite it was that way). He then responded that we could drive to the next campsite if I didn’t trust him and just walked out of the room. Even though there was nothing charged I found his behavior very rude.

Excellent service. I made a last-minute booking because I was crossing by ferry at the last minute, and they reserved a very comfortable and warm cabin for me. When I called to explain that we would be arriving on the last-minute ferry, they said it was very understandable and not to worry, that they would leave the keys next to the main office. It's also worth mentioning that the showers had wonderfully hot water, the laundry service was spectacular with a washer and dryer, and the kitchen was fully equipped.

Infrastructure is bit old otherwise it was nice place to stay. Wifi was not free. Bathrooms, kitchen, fresh water to refill, waste dump, power site all facilities were good. Beautiful morning view, we enjoyed when train was crossing over.

As already mentioned, the infrastructure is a bit outdated, but everything was very clean. Showers were freshly painted and hot. The kitchen and appliances were clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for two nights for hiking. At €20 per night, it was perfectly fine. Many campsites in Germany cost more.

Min bokning bekräftades, en stuga med dusch / toalett / TV / handdukar / hårtork. Vid ankomsten sa de att det fanns ett programvarufel, endast grundläggande stugor var tillgängliga, och programvaruproblem kunde inte åtgärdas. Detta verkar vara en affärsmodell: ett billigt erbjudande, och vid ankomsten erbjuds du en stuga med ingenting. Stugan stinker fruktansvärt av stillastående cigarettrök, och det gemensamma toaletten stinker också av cigaretter. Bättre inte! Ingen bra vistelse!!! Jeep bort!!!!!!

Bra ställe att tillbringa en natt men inte mer, något föråldrad infrastruktur och ingen gratis wifi!

vår färja från norra ön anlände 11:45pm och vi ringde på eftermiddagen om vi kunde checka in att sent, de sa bara att rock upp och plocka upp en plats & betala nästa morgon - vilket fungerade perfekt bra för oss och vi var tacksamma för en lätt 5 minuters bilresa från färjan. du kan höra tåget tidigt på morgonen och duschar / kök / badrum är ganska igång, men okej för en övernattning / färjelösning:)
