Lägret är grundläggande och full av sandflockar Toaletterna är inte riktigt rena men det gör jobbet.

Beautiful drive in (sealed throughout and fine so long as you don't have a massive RV type or towing a campervan), and would recommend exploring further along the coast too to Penzance. Unfortunately the drop toilets both appeared to house wasp nests - you had to be pretty brave to use them, as they'd fly up through the toilets themselves as well as hundreds overhead. Hopefully the DOC are planning to act on this. Otherwise camp was okay - no view of the sea but you're in bush with lots of birdlife (and sandflies!) around. Beware of wasp-ageddon in the loos but otherwise fine

Possums.... De är inte rädda för människor. Gör mycket buller på natten. Vi såg 3 ca 5 ft. Från vårt tält. Annars, bra!

Beautiful bush by stream, short drive to waterfront at Duncan bay and walk to Nydia bay, short drive to Penzance bay with walk to Elaine bay.

Vi är imponerade av denna campingplats. Visst, det finns sandflyg men det är att förvänta sig. Toaletten är ren, och tomten är vackert underhållna. Vi är de enda här vid 5.15pm den 17.3.18.

A quite place but unfortunately infested with wasps and sandflies. Not a lot of flat ground to park your van. Toilet crawling with flies. Not worth the long, demanding drive up there.

Absolutely beautiful quiet campsite but somewhat terrifying road to get to it! Campsite has quite a few very level spots with privacy for campervans and some nice tucked away spots for tents. All grassed and surrounded by bush with a little stream right beside and tonnes of birdlife. Plenty of sandflies as usual so bring your repellant. Clean drop toilet and water available (though boiling/filtering required before drinking). No phone reception. No one here when we arrived at 5pm and only a few other arrivals after that. Bring correct cash to pay and display as per all DOC (they did come around to check). The road in is all sealed but after the pleasant farmland stretch it becomes very windy with really tight blind corners that are often too narrow for two vehicles at a time. Once you are on it there is no stopping or turning around. Definitely the scariest drive so far in our Sprinter campervan (makes all the Fiordland roads feel like straight highways!)
