A truly beautiful location, right on the lake, with plenty of space and a fantastic view. Absolutely fantastic. The owner is very warm and welcoming. The glowworms nearby are fascinating. The toilets and showers are clean, so no problem. We had no major problems getting there with our campervan (3.60 m wide and 7.80 m long). It is quite narrow for about 800 meters, though, so it's a good idea to call ahead to avoid oncoming traffic.

På väg till campingen upptäckte vi att vägen var stängd och inte skulle öppnas igen i ytterligare tre timmar. Efter att ha kontaktat campingen för att avboka vår bokning erbjöd de ingen hjälp alls. Receptionisten hade ingen avsikt att avboka bokningen och var helt osympatisk. Vi var tvungna att vänta någonstans tills vägen öppnades igen. Lyckligtvis hittade vi en annan campingplats.

Fantastiskt läge, men toalettblocket och i mindre utsträckning duschblocket var smutsigt. Vi stannade i tre nätter, vid ankomsten toaletten och duschblocken var smutsiga. Ett använt gips var på urinröret, när vi lämnade det var fortfarande där, ingen ansträngning att rengöra medan under vår vistelse. Det kallar sig en Eco Village, betyder det att de inte använder rengöringsprodukter eller vatten?

Beautifully placed. Friendly staff. A couple of nice walks. And beautiful place to just sit and breath. And swim. And see glowworms. 2 things: 1. The gravel road down there is very narrow. 2. If you request an unpowered site for your campervan, remember to state in your booking that tou sleep in your vehicle and not in a tent.

Beautifully located and isolated campsite. Glowworms and phosphorescent algae in the water made the place feel magical. The road there is pretty rough, and I would not go here in a large motorhome. It was a bit hard to find a level spot for the van. Hot showers were $2 for 4 minutes and coins could be bought at the dairy onsite. Showers could use a cleaning but was functional and the water was hot. The lack of shiny new facilities was 100% made up for by the atmosphere at this campsite

En vacker campingplats med mycket vänliga ägare. Du kan hyra kajaker och SUP och, med lite tur, se stingrays. På natten lyser vattnet och det finns otaliga fyrverkerier. För oss, en av de mest magiska platserna i Nya Zeeland.

The view is amazing , but we spent the night there with our camper van and the road is very challenging for a big van. The toilets and showers are disgusting and even the kitchen was during not clean in the evening. It is ok if you are staying one night but not recommendale for longer stays.

Lovely setting and welcoming owners. Showers/ toilets/ kitchen all clean. Kayaking around the bay in the day was great and the glow worms and Phosphorescence waters was a real highlight to our trip.

Riktigt smutsiga toaletter, duschar och kök. Vacker miljö men vi älskade inte vår vistelse här.
