Om du går över bron mot norr och följer vägen kommer du att komma till Pataua North Surf Beach, vilket är fantastiskt. Eller om du går söderut från bron kommer du att komma till en bra campingplats med en butik, och du går längs ett spår vid vattnet och du kommer att komma till en av de vackraste surfstränderna i NZ. Lokalbefolkningen kallar det Frog Town Beach. Du kan också gå uppför den stora kullen vid stranden, det har en fantastisk utsikt.

Cross the bridge by foot-no other option- and walk till you find the access to the beach. Keep on walking along the beach till you find the stream at the end of the beach.Awesome beach with almost nobody in it-5 people in 2 km of beach-

Walk up the mountain on the south side and you'll get a stunning view over the area. There are a lot of ways to the top and some are a bit steep and challenging, but it's totally worth it! :) If you cross the footbridge to the north side, you might be able to find some good surf near the mountain.

Today I found it not very spectacular and the drive to go there wasn't worth it. I went at low tide though. Only upside! the water was full with starfish. It was almost impossible to enter the water without walking on them.

Definitely worth a visit! You can relax on the beach and enjoy the comparably warm water in the bay or jump from the bridge. Just be careful and don't jump head first at low tide! A great mix of locals and tourists here
