Best campsite so far. Hot showers with very strong water pressure. Everything is very clean. Large, well-equipped kitchen area with refrigerator, freezer, and oven.

Three beautiful campgrounds with views of the sea. The kitchen is also great. The owner is very arranging and borrowed us pellet to go to make our hole in the sand. He also provides kayak. Of course our best campsite on the North Island.

Nice little campground. Owner lives on site. So no issues with noise. Feel safe and sound. Free spades for hot water beach.

Honestly, as a woman traveling alone, go for it without hesitation. Everything is clean, the people are friendly, and the view is incredible. If you ask, the owner will tell you exactly what time to go to the hot water beach and will even provide you with a shovel. It's a peaceful and amazing place!

This campsite is by far the best we've stayed at during our six-week New Zealand vacation. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. At $40 including electricity for a two-person campervan, the price is absolutely fair. There are free kayaks available for exploring the inlet. On our first evening, we were even treated to fresh smoked fish he had caught that day. The site is quiet and just a five-minute drive from Hot Water Beach, where free shovels are also provided. Highly recommended!

The owner was at a birthday party and the place was actually fully booked, but after a quick phone call, I was able to stay. The kitchen was superbly equipped, there was a lounge, and a toilet.

$20 per person, facing the sea. Toilets, hot showers, Wi-Fi and even a jacuzzi!! Kitchen with toaster, oven, microwave, kettle... The best paid campsite we've been to.

Vi älskade absolut denna plats. Värden och hans kamrater var så vänliga och gästvänliga. De fångade en hel del snapper och delade den med alla. Färsk och rökt 😋 Lägret var rymligt, platt och snyggt klippt med utsikt över vattnet. Kawhia är en underbar liten stad full av historia med ett litet strandmuseum och wharf. Waitangi dag i parken var verkligen söt med alla lokalbefolkningen som kom ut för några fantastiska kai. 👌 ✨ Kawhia var vår första läger på vår resa, och definitivt den bästa.

Utsikten är fantastisk från de flesta platser. Faciliteterna är rustik Hooks saknas på toaletter, kranar sprayar vatten överallt. Endast kunna blöta en hand i taget Kranar överflödar, BBQ är smutsiga, oanvändbara. Kök smutsig. Inte mycket i Kawhia. Kände som vi var i leveransfilmen. Köp livsmedel innan du kommer dit. Allt stängt på måndagar. Ägaren går runt och erbjuder ppl fisk som han har fångat som är härlig och gratis kajaker. Utsikten är stor
