Spectacular free camping in front of Pukaki Lake with a stunning view on the mountains. We spent 2 days enjoying doing nothing and a quick swim in the lake (I was a bit scared that would be too cold but with a sunny day in the afternoon it is worth it!). Long drop toilets always clean, sometimes a bit smelly but you can do it :) I recommend arriving around lunch time to choose your spot. Love NZ ❤️

Magnificent free campsite on the shores of Lake Pukaki with a view of Mount Cook! Plenty of spots available for certified vehicles. The campsite fills up quite quickly despite everything. 4 dry toilets are located at the bottom of the parking lots, near the lake. The terrain can sometimes be sloped with quite a few rocks.

Biggest free camping spot that we’ve encountered. Lots and lots of space, 4 drop toilets and very nice views on the lake and mountains. About 45 mins from Mount Cook Village. The “uneven surface” really isn’t that problematic. It’s gravel and rocks so a couple holes but nothing bad. We would absolutely recommend!

Mükemmel bir yer, mükemmel manzaralar. 3 seviyelerde en iyi manzarayı seçmek için çok fazla alan var, ancak sadece birkaç seviyeli nokta vardı. solda ilk seviyede bir bakış noktası vardı, biraz yükseldi. Tuvaletler aşağıya doğru ama 2/3 dakikalık güzel bir kısa yürüyüş oldu. meşguldü ama herkes sessizce manzarayı kızdı.

Birçok nokta, gece sessiz ve karanlık. parkın en alt seviyesinde tuvaletleri bırakın. Her yönden inanılmaz manzaralar. Bazı kampçılar mevcut noktalardan çok uzakta park etti. Bazı noktalar düzeyde değil.

Bu yeri çok sevdim. çok fazla yer ve Pukaki Gölü'ne muhteşem bir manzara. tuvalet. sessiz. tavsiye ederim!
