Large campsite with everything you need: electricity, toilets, showers, pool, mini-market, kitchen, barbecue. Wave Rock is only a 5-minute walk from the entrance.
Mel at reception is absolutely lovely. Enjoyed all that comes with the night stay: Lake Magic, Wave Rock and walks around. Amazing dark sky community. The stars were outstanding. Our powered site was right next to the laundry and men’s toilets which was fine other than people crossing as we ate outside. Laundry wash machine was clean $5 per load. Lots of places to hang clothes and they dry quick! We had terrible signal on an ESim. Wifi was okay.
A lot of bad reviews had us worried to stay here as no other choice. Pleasantly surprised. Campground good, reception very nice and welcoming. Lovely walks to wave rock, salt lakes, drive to caves. Cost of camp included park fee. BBQs and tables, undercover areas. Showers and toilets do need a good scrub and gurney which would make a difference
Price is good for what you get. You get entry to the salt pool, wave rock and a few other attractions included in the price. Pool is clean. Camp kitchen is awful. There is one electric stove but only one of the hobs work so really hard to cook there.
Booked in and asked for Non powered site and was told they could squeeze us in. Very thankful until we arrived. We had to accept powered site as c'vans can't do non powered. Asked if we could arrive early and was told "YES" then when we arrived we had to wait an hour as there was no early check-in even tho the camp was empty. 38 degrees that day so put on swimmers as we knew there was a pool - pool empty and had been for months!!! Had a cold shower instead. Bathrooms were dirty.
Stayed here one night on way to Esperance. Had powered site with ensuite. Park right next to Wave Rock and other sites. Unfortunately we arrived on a 42deg day. Pool was refreshing but they closed it at 5pm and it was still 35deg. Lucky we had aircon in van. Ensuite was like an oven but very clean, water pressure was good, also had a dishwasher Office staff were helpful except for closing the pool.
Large caravan park near Wave Rock in Hyden, WA with good facilities. Sandy/dirt base, slightly sloping with no shade. Flushing toilet, showers, potable water and power, bins, dump point, camp kitchen, laundry, swimming pool, limited WiFi. Weak Telstra reception but no Optus or TV. Suited as a multi-night stay. Scenic hikes to Wave Rock, Hippos Yawn and Lake Magic. CN get busy so booking ahead is recommended. Motorhomes must use powered sites, unpowered for tents and camper trailers only.
Perfect stop between Perth and Esperance. Wave rock is few meters away. Facilities are clean. Wifi is really poor but that was not our priority while coming in the bush. We paid $38 one night 2 ppl for a powered site.
