It was a nice grassy area with plenty of space to park. It was likely not worth the $25 and the bathrooms could use some cleaning (lots of bugs at night, but that is to be expected when it’s the only light source), but it was very green and a safe place to stay overnight. Note: if you want to shower, you will have to pay using a prepaid card/app.

Not bad. Did not really feel worth $25 for the spot. It was mainly just a big grass parking lot but it was convenient between Rotorua and Taupō. Decent spot for the location but if you could find a free spot it would be way better.

This place should be free. Campsite isn’t very nice. Uneven ground and kind of just a swampy free for all. We experienced multple rude neighbors. Singing loudly after 10/11pm , blasting music, just being inconsiderate! Showers are not free??? And you have to buy a physical card to activate them. Then create an account online ugh! Luckily you can buy card at the mountain bike store there. Staff is very kind. Bathrooms however, are very gross. Wouldn’t recommend unless you are desperate.

A big field near some public toilets, $25 is a rip off. Showers cost $5 (for less than 5 mins) and were disgusting, as well as weak and luke-warm. Not really sure what you’re paying for.

Noisy if towards the back next to the road, not so bad further in. Toilets seem like public ones that pre date the camp. We spent $4 trying two showers and both were freezing. Can be cheap if you have multiple people as price is per vehicle. However, struggling to see where the money is being re-invested to make this any better than a freedom site.

Very large place with public toilets nearby. Apart from that it offers nothing so the price is rather too high

It’s a nice spot next to the hot tubs (highly recommended), but pay attention - it can be quite noisy during night (we stayed on a weekday). Heavy Trucks are running by the whole night to a nearby factory. If you decide to stay, better stay closer to the parking, but not sure if this is more calm. We didn’t use the bathrooms - so can’t comment.

The whole place is grass field and became a swamp after only an hour of rain. Wouldn’t stay here again unless it’s guaranteed to be dry.

The area is huge, but the public toilets are quite far away, and the showers are not free. The camping area felt more like a large parking lot than a pleasant campsite. Maybe not worth the money.

Nơi rất lớn, với rất nhiều không gian (trong giữa tháng Hai) nhưng tôi nghĩ rằng nó đắt tiền cho một nơi không có tiện nghi (bồn tắm rửa và vòi sen OK cũng có sẵn cho công chúng). Nó khá yên tĩnh và bên cạnh Trại rừng Whaka, vì vậy nó rất tuyệt vời cho điều đó! tín hiệu điện thoại không phải lúc nào cũng hoạt động hoặc rất chậm.
