Good spot to break up the drive to Chch for the night. No toilet. Road noise was negligble.

Everybody seems to be afraid of this place. Not sure why. The negatives: a bit of noise coming from the road but acceptable and no toilets. The positives: the place is large enough for 15 to 20 vehicles so you are almost certain to find a place (today, we are alone with the many birds) and there are two tables. It would only be muddy after big rains but under normal circumstances, absolutely no issue (gravel in the center and grass on the side).

Based on the reviews, I was expecting a real nightmare! In reality, there were tables for eating and a bit of greenery. It's true, there's no toilet... Beyond that, only one person was parked there, and it was safe. As for the road noise I read about, it wasn't bothersome!

Nice spot to break up our trip, road noise didn't bother us. It's a pitty the track to the river is covered in toilet paper and 💩!! No wonder we lose so many FC areas when they are treated like this 😡

Khu vực nghỉ ngơi trong cỏ. Có chỗ cho 10-15 xe hơi và 2 bàn picnic. Nơi này yên tĩnh, mặc dù nó nằm ở phía bên đường. Không có nhà vệ sinh. Tôi khuyên bạn nên :)

Đơn giản nghỉ ngơi dừng lại bên đường. Phòng tắm sạch sẽ. Ở lại đây 1 đêm để phá vỡ chuyến đi từ Christchurch-Kaikoura. Không thấy chim giết người!
