A beautiful location with a quiet beach. We had a non-powered site. Clean facilities, good kitchen, gorgeous view. It’s very well managed & you can tell effort has been put in to make it a nice experience & place for everyone. The only thing is the bathroom light is on a sensor so kept turning off during my shower since no one else came in to trigger the sensor and it couldn’t see me in the cubicle. Unlimited shower time but be as quick as possible as they are on a limited supply.

Stayed at the beach, which is a few meters towards Gisborne and next to the toilets. Check on the gdc for other campgrounds for non-sc and you fill many more options to travel for more time and save more money. Beautiful place. There were plenty of fish my friends caught with a net. A family place with many locals stopping by. Bring your own water and have fun.

Really stunning place to stay. Space is limited, and there are no toilet facilities. Lots of locals stay here for the summer, and you have to make sure you don't leave your stuff unattended as there are break ins. The beach next door is a 2 minute drive and is an amazing place to spend time, and does have toilets

Terrible site for bigger rigs. We arrived after dark with 2 x 8m caravans, the site was almost 4WD to access with semi-permanent set ups taking up most of the campsites. You then come to a dead end which made for interesting maneuvering in the dark to get out again. Save time and angst, stay at the next one up the coast instead (but be prepared for logging trucks going past every few minutes all night long).

Closed outside of daylight savings, gorgeous drive along the coast though.
