Thành thật mà nói, một chuyến đi bộ kinh điển như vậy, đừng bỏ lỡ chuyến đi này! Chúng tôi đã có một thời gian tuyệt vời và bắt đầu vào cuối khoảng 8am, đi bộ đến đỉnh núi và sau đó trở lại, đó là một chút khó khăn hơn nhưng có nghĩa là chúng tôi có thể đậu xe trên đường cao tốc gần đó kết thúc trở lại xe tải của chúng tôi. Đeo giày tốt, mang 1.5L hoặc nhiều nước, rất nhiều đồ ăn nhẹ và một số kem chống nắng quá. Đó là một chuyến đi dài với rất nhiều độ dốc nhưng con đường khá tốt cho đến khi leo lên đỉnh cuối cùng nơi bạn phải nắm lấy mặt đất lỏng lẻo!
Đối với những người thường xuyên đi bộ leo núi, chuyến tham quan dài nhưng không khó khăn. Nếu bạn không có thiết bị tốt hoặc không có kinh nghiệm đi bộ, chuyến tham quan này không phù hợp. Chúng tôi có -9 độ C và gió rất lạnh, mạnh mẽ. Găng tay, mũ, giày cứng và nhiều lớp quần áo là cần thiết, ngay cả trong mùa hè.

I was very surprised to see very few people carrying their 10+ essentials. Remember your Ts of hiking here folks. You are going up into the mountains. And volcanoes at that. This is not a stroll around a park. Today I saw lots of questionable footwear choices and then these are the people that wonder why they’re shitting their pants going down volcanic scree. Don’t want to be a harbinger but no one wants to be a SAR call (assuming you get cell service). The track itself was beautiful and mind blowing.

Absolutely incredible! L, especially at the moment with no tourists it’s so quiet. Highly recommend the parking with a shuttle to the start so there’s no pressure to catch a shuttle at the end. Take snacks, lunch, plenty of water and all the layers! You need full thermals, puffy, waterproof and decent walking shoes/boots, sun hat, wooly hat, gloves and suncream - believe me I used them all!

Very sweaty and long. Without the time pressure from the shuttle service, it would have taken us 9 hours (mid-20s). But the view is unbeatable on a sunny day.
The crossing was incredible. We did it on a windy day so started a little later (8:30am). Anyone is able to do this trek, if you take your time and know your limits. The winds at the top when we went were extremely dangerous to people who don’t have experience on loose surfaces, but if you are prepared you will be okay. The red crater and lakes are stunning and worth every step. Overall the trek was mildly difficult for us (average fitness, 19) and we finished it in 5 & 1/2 hrs with only one drink break as we didn’t want to stop in the windy parts. I definitely recommend this trip for everyone to do once in their lives and if there is anytime to do it, now is it. Usually in busy season there is around 5,000 people a day. We saw about 10. If you want to do it, do it now.
