Nice campground for $24 per person it's $2 for a hot shower .Has a basic kitchen so need own pots or plates .Has a free view tv .Close to historical buildings and small supermarket has nice ice creams .It's about 4 kms to start of lake Dunstan bike trail to Cromwell 42 km track or go kayaking on lake about 4 km drive or walk to river near town .I stayed for 4 days .Also there bike trail between Clyde and Alexandra 12 kms each way

Adequate but that's all. Outdated facilities but clean. Unfriendly welcome on arrival. Would have expected better from the only camp site at one end of the iconic Otago Rail Trail. Great opportunity to present a more modern and friendly environment.

Easy access - a rec reserve and is what it is. Honest and easy walk into main street. Cheap showers

Facilities were dirty & no where to put clothes in the shower everything gets wet - the manager/owner wasn’t people friendly - just an ok camp - over priced for what you get

I paid for non-powered site, extra fee for shower. Quiet and comfortable place. Kitchen is clean. Very friendly staff!

Its a big site, and the only one in town. We paid for an uncovered site for 2 people. Showers are for 6 mins - nice and hot. Washing machine is for a 30 min wash, drier is for 25 mins (not free). Theres a big kitchen to use as well. Cleanliness was ok, definitely seen worse and better tho!

Gary and Roslyn are very nice and friendly! Huge and clean kitchen. Great hot showers. There is a little issue in the bathrooms light but should be fixed by now! ?

Previous comment says under new management so maybe they haven't been there long enough to tidy facilities up. Showers are not private if you want to keep clothes dry, have to change in the communal changing area in the middle of the room.

A very basic campground / sports field. Bathrooms not particularly clean. Location very quiet and walking distance to town. OK for a night's stay but not a holiday.
