En vidunderlig kørsel, vandretur og udsigt fra det lille bjerg med fantastisk natur selv på en skyet dag. Du bør forsvarligt gå, selvom du ikke er en lotter fan! Omkring 1 times kørsel fra Mount Somers Village med 40 min af græsplæne vej (en ret god græsplæne vej). Fra parkeringspladsen er det en 20 min gåtur på flad jord og derefter 20 min op ad bjerget.

Kommentarer på græskarvejen er ikke sjovt, det er en hård rejse, men det er bestemt det værd, den mest forbløffende indstilling og alt omkring dig ser ikke kun ud som filmen, men som beskrivelserne i bogen. jeg tror, det er den mest immersive filmside, jeg har besøgt. vil anbefale en hat eller tørklæde til at sætte over dine ører, da det er meget meget vindigt på toppen.

Road is open now. Gavel road is pretty bad at few points and there is one big ford. Be careful specially after rainy day

There are 24km gravel road, the 10km to Lake Clearwater are good passable but the rest is pretty bad: /

Best place in New Zealand, just amazingly beautiful area. Camped in the parking lot because we arrived late. But please only self-contained, take your trash with you. One must take care of this indescribably beautiful landscape!
