It just kept getting better. I was looking at where to stay in the area, and wanting to see mount cook, and noticed there was a campsite with a view and opposite the mountain range. Then...it only had 4 spots so it was more likely to be quiet and encourage people who really want to experience the piece of the mountains. Then...an adventure along a gravel track along a beautiful turquoise lake, no one else on the road. Then...a beautiful camping spot with a perfect view of snow capped mountains.

Only come here if you have a guarantee of good weather. You're isolated, with 30 km of gravel road to contend with. Apparently, the view is superb. But with three days of rain and clouds, we couldn't verify that :( The Wi-Fi is good when it works; a power outage left us without a connection for 24 hours. The hosts are very friendly and do their best to make your stay enjoyable. The cost is expensive at $120.

10/10 would recommend! Beautiful view, lovely cabin, very nice owners. Perfect for anyone who wants a secluded nature experience but still want to be comfortable.

Dette sted er helt fantastisk. Et must for alle. Vi har været på rejse i flere uger nu og dette er den bedste campingplads vi har besøgt. Utrolig udsigt og virkelig komfortable faciliteter.

Hvilket utroligt sted. Udsigten er uovertruffen og faciliteterne er gode. Jeg ville ønske, vi kunne have boet længere.

Vi boede i et selvstændigt hus i en nat i slutningen af marts. Sammenlignet med grusveje i Australien var grusvejen i og ud en drøm! Kør lidt hurtigere, og du vil ikke føle karakteren så meget. Værd at køre, fordi udsigten er fab. Fantastisk lille hytte med badeværelse og køkken, pejs, stor wifi. Stjerner er også fantastiske. Elskede at høre køerne om natten. Det eneste, der satte mig ned, var det faktum, at du kunne betale for at jage hjorte på ejendommen.

Smuk afsondret sted, helt sikkert unikt og et af vores foretrukne steder. Græsplænen spor er navigabel, hvis bumpy i en stor van, men det er det værd. Hytten har alt hvad du behøver med madlavning osv, 2 varme brusere. Begrænset til 4 baner så følte meget intim og hyggelig. Ejere meget lydhør og popped over for at tjekke på os. Absolut fantastisk udsigt over Lake Pukaki, Mount Cook og ved siden af ingen lysforurening for smuk udsigt over Mælkevejen. stærkt anbefale!

Stunning spot, well worth the money. Unique location and the best site we stayed on in NZ by far. We were lucky and the weather was beautiful so we had the most amazing view of the stars and the milky way. Owners are lovely and very responsive. Would definitely stay again. Word of warning though - you need to travel 33km up a gravel road which is a little bumpy and dusty but this place is absolutely worth it 10/10
