HUGE camping area with smooth level grass. Can get boggy after heavy rain, but there is firm ground before the grassy area. We spent 2 lots of 3 nights here, and at the most there were 10 others staying. Don't forget to book online before you arrive, there is no phone signal.

Great field with sinks and toilets in the middle of nowhere.

Lukket for vinteren! Pulled op i går, booket i, intet på hjemmesiden, efter at have fået over den lille bro og porte flipping låst! Kaldet DOC, efter at have forbundet Starlink som ingen telefonsignal her, de havde lavet en fejl tillader bookinger, det er officielt lukket for vinteren, (rådgivet NZMCA). Broen! Oy vey! Vi er 14 meter i alt, hitched op og det tog mig tre forsøg haha! Gørbar dog, når det er åbent!! Meget lille område at vende rundt, men hvis porte låst,så tjek først! TASMANTRAVELS

Det er meget rart. Men lidt forvirrende. På doc-stedet er alt fint. foran campingpladsen er der et tegn, der siger, at det er lukket på grund af tyveri. Men bortset fra det synes alt andet at være ok. Der er absolut ingen signal. Vi bookede, før vi kom der. Det er alt græs, så med tungt løb vil dækkene ikke have et godt greb.

One of the best camping places, I have had so far because it was so quiet and in the middle of nature. But there is no Internet or signal.

Freshly mown grass and overall the site is very well presented. Despite the size it’s a quiet spot with only a few campers on a Friday night. Not sure why as it’s a beautiful spot. Bit of a hidden gem.

Got there pretty late due to delayed ferry but managed to pull up to a massive site and pitch up our rooftop tent and had a very quiet sleep. Flush toilets and water you can boil. $20 for 2 cash only.

Really beautiful large site. Only 2 other campers there. Flush toilets and running water. Secluded and peaceful. Bird song by day, silent starry skies by night. Soft grass, no mud when we were there mid January.

What a great spot! As described by others… too big an area to get busy, sunny and shady options, nice amenities, beauty river, no prob with bugs. Most birdsong I’ve heard in upper SI.
