Two sites available right on the beach. Great views of the beach and sunset. Shops, restaurants etc. close by. Would definitely recommend.

Got harassed by a nasty pack of seagulls!!!! Do not cook or eat here. Toilet is fine but quite far.

Enforcement officer made rounds at all the lots and ticketed several people before making them leave. Freedom campers should be wary of parking here when the listed maximum amount of vehicles already here. Guy said there is a paid campground a few minutes drive away, so go there if the lot has reached capacity

We were the 2nd ones to arrive and by the end of the evening there was 5 vehicles parked for the night. There weren’t designated parking spaces so not sure what happens if someone comes to check. The toilets are a 5min walk and get locked at dusk.

What to say about a free parking space :D It was quiet at night and no noisy cars or people. Close to the tiny town village with a few local shops and eateries.

Great spot to stay but can get very windy. Beach is close and a great walk. Market on Saturday is cool and cafes and shops close by.

Quiet, nice spot. Public toilets closed after 6pm. More than 2, others stopped after us. Market on saturday morning

Amazing site. So lucky to be able to park here. Shame about the other three NZMCA motorhomes that stayed when there were already two (maximum) there. This is possibly how we lose these wonderful sites.
