Sie können nicht zu diesem Campingplatz fahren, aber Sie können die Straße abziehen und parken kurz vor und nach dem Eingang zur Strecke zum Ort und zu Fuß 10 Minuten, oder mit dem Fahrrad zu diesem Tentsite am Wasser. Die Website verfügt über eine Küche Unterkunft und lange Tropfen Toilette sowie Tasten, die Sie vor dem Trinken Wasser kochen warnen. Die Website ist direkt neben ein paar schöne Wanderwege, eine einfache zu Kauri Fallen oder einen schwierigeren Spaziergang zu einem alten Holzfischerei & Walfangstation oder den Straßenbahnen. Kein Verkehr hier, nur das Geräusch der Vögel und Fische springen.

This campsite is not boat access only. We got dropped off at the road and watched the 15 minute track to the camping area. It overlooks the Whangaparapara estuary. It is near the hot springs which we didn't check out as it was a much farther walk than we anticipated. There is a sign that says there is glass in one of the hot springs. Water must be boiled here. One long drop toilet. Thousands of mosquitoes. Be prepared for that. If you walk past the wharf, around the rocks, there is a cave and lots of beautiful crystals. It was the highlight for me. The highlight for my sister was the fishing. Stunning spot. But just be prepared, because it is a mission to walk to the closest town. Locals are awesome though, hitchhiking encouraged.
