Bloody awesome spot!!! Clean outhouse, having the shelter with fire box is a great touch also. Good signage on the way in also.

Great place. We are from the country so pot holes and dirt track we are used to. Beautiful walks through the national park, amazing views from the top! Worth the drive out

Not worth the drive. Don’t bother unless you have 4WD. Nothing mentioned about the ford on the way in - there are at least a dozen huge pot holes on the road in to the campsite. When you finally get there you’re swarmed by sandflies. Would have rather paid the $13 each for the campsite down the road.

Nice drive here! Shame most of is fenced off!! The road into the campsite has a huge bump just as you enter campsite so be careful. Site is smallish, little uneven in places but a really nice spot. Some good but challenging walks along the rivers!

Road has some big potholes in places.. But ok if you drive carefully and straddle them. (DON'T drive thru a pothole.. Especially one with water... You don't know how deep it is and each wheel passage just makes them worse)

Very adventurous drive to go there, a gravelroad in partly bad conditions. Campsite was beside of the loads of Sandflies (!!!) quite nice and quiet, surrounded by forest and mountains. We arrived there at the afternoon, cooked dinner, but as it got dark and we were still alone there, we felt little bit unsafe and decided to drive to the other campground at the lake (:

Lovely, peaceful campsite. About 40 mins drive along gravel road. Have to go through one ford. So many sand flies though!!!

A beautiful remote spot nestled in the mountains. A long drive up Lake Ohau to get here, but stunning scenery on the way.

A lot of sandflies and it is a long drive. You will get as many sandflies and a nicer location if you stop at the blue site after the lake Middleton one. That site is far nicer and has an honesty box that looks as though it hasn't been touched in months!
