Wir wollten dort für die Nacht zu bleiben, aber wir verließen nach dem Essen.Der Ort ist sehr schön, und die schwarzen Schwan freundlich, aber es gibt zu viele Fliegen.

Free if you camp on DOC land and $15 if you camp on council land (I think?). Either way was very quiet and peaceful, grass had just been mowed and toilets were clean and tiled drop toilets! Have 3 bars of signal with 2degrees. Just had bad floods so lake was high and couldn’t swim, but it was lovely regardless! Tents are allowed- according to DOC site, so this place is okay for everyone!

A campsite not listed in the document. $15 per night. Okay for tents, 2 clean toilets, a shelter near the lake. Swimming possible. Very beautiful view and very peaceful.

Nice place to come and have lunch on a table with benches, also sheltered. But absolutely not for night, toilets are nasty, no water. There are better places to freedom camp. Not recommended.

This is a paid campsite located at the end of a dirt-gravel road, on the edge of Lake Tutira. The site is entirely grassed, so see the result when it rains or after rainy days. There are conventional dry toilets. If you prefer a free site, the DOC freecamp is located just before, at the entrance to the dirt road just off the main road. There is space for 4-5 cars and dry toilets right next to it. The view is just magnificent
