Überschwemmung hat viel zurückgegangen, um zu parken, ohne sich Sorgen zu machen, aber würde das Wetter überprüfen, bevor sie gehen, wie die Einheimischen sagten, es ist anfällig für Überschwemmungen in starkem Regen.

Dieser Ort wurde am 6. September 2026 überschwemmt ... also vorsichtig sein, wenn es ständig regnet!

Very cute campground with a view on the mountains and the possibility to swim in the lake. 2 flushing toilets and a changing room (per women/men), cell service is okay and 10 spots to park. Arrive early as this spot is often taken by motorhomes of people who come here to fish :)

Allowed places are not so nice because only the first cars have a side view to the lake and there is not much space between the cars. A lot of space in the area where camping is prohibited. I moved to a different place.

Schöner Ort am See mit Flush Toiletten. Schöner Ort mit einem See, in dem Sie schwimmen können! Der Spaziergang auf den Mt Te Kinga ist auch großartig. Campte für 2 Nächte. Wir kamen um 2pm an und bekamen den letzten verfügbaren Platz an einem Wochentag. Sandfliegen absolut tödlich hier - beißen überall, obwohl sie vollständig abgedeckt sind und alle Arten von Abwehrmitteln verwenden. Telefon-Signal war iffy, aber die meiste Zeit gearbeitet.

This is a very beautiful freedom campground which I can definitely recommend checking out. You have a beautiful view with the lake, the beach and the nature surrounding you. NOTE : You need to be there relatively early in the day, as the 10 Freedom campsites fill up very quickly. We were there at 2pm and there was only one spot left. And bring something to protect you from sandflies, as it is very humid here due to the nature and the lake, so there are lots of them.

Very beautiful place, got here on a rainy day, luckily there was a space as there is not that many of them. Got here around 13:00 with a lot of huge RVs on the spots. Had a great swim in the lake 🤙🏻. Toilets are pretty close and very clean with two bins for rubbish. Had a 2 lines of 4G, Spark is my provider and even VPN works fine here.
